TABS MAKE A DIFFERANCE

Mass Good Sam supports Shriner’s Hospital one tab at a time.

Follow the POP TOP journey for fourteen years now the Good Sam Members and friends have removed the pull tabs from aluminum cans and dropped them into assorted containers on there counter tops, soon filling an ever larger collection of bags and carrying them to the Mass. Samboree in May. During the Samboree the North Shore Clam Diggers sort and bag an amazing quantity of some 6,172 pounds in 2004 brining the eight year total to 75,686 pounds. Years 2005, 2006, the program continued by 2007 collection was 4,522 pounds plus check donations from supporting states that processed there tabs rather than transport them to Mass.  Year 2009 adds another great collection of tabs 3,335 lbs. pushing the total to 79,021.  You can quickly see how a simple tab and a great collection of people can combine to help others.
